# Desktop

## Purpose

Desktop app specifics.

## Decisions

### Desktop

- **Targets:** web apps in a desktop browser, and **Obsidian** (via the `ndl` snippet).
- **Desktop app (Windows or Linux):** not a current target. If one is built, the web version inside it is the first choice, as for Android.
- **Layout:** 200px sidebar, 48px top bar, content up to 1360px (see [Layout and Grid](../foundations/layout-and-grid.md)).
